One drop of Azopt eye drops is to be instilled into the affected eye(s) twice a day. You must be careful to not touch the tip of the dropper to any part of the eye and also to throw away the Azopt eye drops bottle after 28 days of the opening date.

If you wear contact lenses, you must remove the contact lens before instilling the eye drops and may put your lens back in 15 minutes after instillation.

To instil the eye drops, the bottle must be shaken before use. Then, with your head tilted back, one drop is instilled into the affected eye(s). Press onto the tear ducts for a few minutes after instilling the eye drops.

If you need to use another type of eye drop, then separate instillations by 10 minutes.  Azopt eye drops should not be used in pregnancy (ADEC category B3) or lactation unless authorized by a doctor to do so.
