I travelled to China on a short holiday with my girlfriends last year and ate something that caused me to become lactose intolerant.
I am so upset because as a lover of everything dairy, I am finding it very difficult adjusting to life without my cheesy-treats and late-night choc milks.
I spend HOURS at the supermarket sifting through products to make sure I'm not about to buy something that's going to make me ill. It's SO frustrating. I'm already devastated that I can't eat any of my favourite foods anymore, and now I've been reduced to eating these wheat-free, yeast-free, lactose-free and COMPLETELY FLAVOUR-FREE speciality foods which really don't tickle my fancy.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I understand that this sort of thing happens to people quite often, so I've got my fingers crossed that there's someone out there in the same situation that might have a few pointers?
