Adult Onset Stills Disease

Postby Blandina on Thu Jun 07, 2007 12:15 am

:) Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum and hoping someone will be able to help us with some question down the track but mostly I've joined to communicate with others that have AOSD. My husband has the disease, went into remission but last year started getting flare ups again. I am a member of the International Stills Disease Foundation and they are beautiful people with lots of advise and heaps of help, but they are all in the USA, I have not to date met anyone here in Australia - this is what I am hoping to do - find others with AOSD here in Australia - so can anyone help us?? Do you have AOSD?? We would love to hear from you if you do.
Thanks people and keep well

Hi Blandina

Rather a late reply, just joined the site. I have AOSD, don't know of any others in Aus. Happy to chat if you're still on this site. Cheers

Hi. Have just come across this forum while googling AOSD. My husband was diagnosed last December and we still have no idea what's going on! Would love to chat more. We are in Melbourne. A

Hi there, my husband was diagnosed with Adult Onset Still's Disease about 3 yrs ago but had suffered from it for about 7yrs before that. We are currently under a Rheumatologist but as far as we know he was the only patient with AOSD. He is currently on methotraxate. Does anyone know of any other or newer medications or research information that could be helpful. Shirley
