The Mini-Cog is a 3 minute test which can be used to discriminate between
demented and non-demented persons.
It is suitable for use on non-English speaking
patients with a variety of backgrounds.
The test has a high sensitivity and can
be performed by a nurse with minimal training as a general screening tool.
