Administration and safety:
  • Inpatient schedule
  • Pretreatment cardiac assessment if clinically indicated or previous exposure to anthracyclines.
  • Risk of cardiomyopathy increases with total doxorubicin dose > 450 mg/m2.
  • Discontinue if cardiac failure occurs
  • Consider doxorubicin dose reduction if significant liver impairment
